25-26 Jan 2021 Virtual Edition (France)

SMPGD 2021

This year's edition will be virtual!

To comply with the sanitary situation and travel restrictions we have organized a lighter version of the annual SMPGD meeting that should still allow us to learn from great speakers from all around the world.

As usual the scientific committee has selected four themes, each with two invited speakers who will give ~45-minute talks followed by questions. Technical details on connection platforms will be updated later depending on the number of participants. To keep the program ligh and accessible to all there will be no contributed session this year.

  • Genomics in Biomedical Research (Jan 25th, 1:30-3:40 pm) organized by Franck Picard
    • Helen Byrne (Oxford University) : Approaches to understanding tumour-immune interactions (abstract)
    • Boris Hejblum (Université de Bordeaux) : Distribution-free complex hypothesis testing for single-cell RNA-seq differential expression analysis (abstract, slides)
  • SpatioTemporal Evolution & population Genetics (Jan 26th, 9:030-11:40 am), organized by Amandine Veber

  • Artificial Intelligence methods for protein modeling and design (Jan 26th,1:30-3:40 pm) organized by Pierre Neuvial
    • Thomas Schiex (INRAE, Toulouse) : Automated reasoning and learning for Computational Protein Design (abstract)
    • Juan Cortés (CNRS, Toulouse) : A data-driven approach for modeling highly-flexible proteins and regions (abstract)

As always SMPGD will be a free workshop. We do still require you to register in order to best accomodate connection platforms with sufficient quality and to keep track of the number of registrations for sponsorship prospecting for future editions.

Registration will be open from December 1rst to January 18th.
